Wow, another Christmas has just passed, and so quickly in my eyes. But we all had a great time and loved catching up with family. Bella especially enjoyed all the festive fun plus got what she wanted for Christmas and loved seeing everyone but mostly the animals which I neglected to take any pictures of.
But I do hope everyone else enjoyed their Christmas and the kids too got what they wanted. (Oh and the snake I threw in as it was caught xmas eve on my parents patio where we had our xmas lunch)
Cheers and lets hope 2013 is a fantastic year for us all. Love Em xxx

I am sorry for not writing sooner on my blog, but it is purely a time thing. Certainly hope everyone is well, and getting into the christmas spirit. Don't know about you but I truly cannot believe how quickly this year has gone, and feel it is way too quick and that our children are growing older quicker and us too getting older too, and where has the time gone and the challenges we have faced through out the year.

I have had a jammed packed year, with family challenges, my daughter who just turned 9 going on 16, a  operation, other medical happenings and my sewing increasing to double that I didn't expect to happen.

I can reflect and say it has been a interesting, up and down, but happy for filled year so far and certainly look forward to my christmas break and catching up with family and friends and seeing my daughters face light up with happiness on christmas morning.

Also I want to thank all my friends, family and loyal supporters who have followed Emma Makers Designs and watched my elephants and other creativity grow this year. Without the support I have, I wouldn't be where I am now and love it. Here's hoping next year will be super and not go as fast.

As you can see above our christmas tree is up and yes I have been playing xmas music, -  when my daughter lets me. Truly hope everyone has a lovely christmas and new year.

Plus I am even more thrilled that I made it on her blog, http://www.sisboom.com/blog/ Have a look as you will see also all the other talented people out there and the beautiful fabrics that you can get.

I am at a good point at the moment in making my elephants and other bits and pieces. Love what have achieved and thank all my followers and support that has made me get to where I am at the moment.

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well. I have recovered ok from my eye surgery, that will take time to settle, and I look forward to being able to wear makeup soon. I am glad I have finally had the graft done, and can only improve my looks and health more. However my daughter still calls it my bad eye. But hey its early days.

I have been fairly busy with sewing and trying to keep up which doesn't leave much room for creative/new ideas work to be done, but I am hopping soon to be able to before spring comes around which I know will be quick, as I don't know about you, the year seems to be flying.

Just another quick note I do have some sets in a little beautician in Perth, here are at the details. Feel free to ask any questions.

Two of my elephants are available for sale at Beauty on the Hampton (open Tue. to Sat), 136 Hampton Road, South Fremantle  (opp. Shell Servo).  In the coming months and as time permits, a full range of my products will be  available.  Above is a picture of the two there at the moment as the others have gone.

Cheers everyone. Love Em xxx

Ok, I know people get curious and wonder where I am at. But yes I braved another operation that I had been putting of for awhile but glad that I have finally got it over with. I don't know about some people but I find as I get older the more chicken legged or worried of how things will go and I suppose that has been since I had my daughter as I would hate anything to go wrong. But no all is good.

Had a small skin graf of the inside of my arm and put along the bottom of my eyelid to help stop infections etc, so fingers crossed that it all works out. Looking forward to tuesday as I finally get the patch off and stitches out as they have stitched my eye together. Just want to have a good look and know that it has all worked out.

Most importantly I cannot wait then to come straight home and wash my hair, i don't know about you ladies, but I can't stand greasy hair. Very frustrating, hence that is another reason for not leaving the house for a week.

Hope everyone is having a lovely school holidays and at least the weather has fined up for the kids to play outside.

Once again I have been neglecting my blog writing. But all is well here in our household.
Above is a few pictures I am loving at the moment. My vegetable garden, daisy dog and Bella on her bike.

I am busy as always with my sewing and have had an overwhelming response at the moment, I wonder how I will fit it all in? But I do love it and enjoy what I am doing.

I am off for the next week though as I am having a small operation on my eye, so I am going to my parents for a break afterwards, which I am looking forward to.

Hope everyone else is well and enjoying the cool change in the weather. I know I am as I love winter.

Work Area

I am sorry for not being able to blog lately and keep up to date. I have been so busy and preoccupied, finding time to sit for 5 minutes to write has been tough.

My sewing and creative mind has been in overdrive and sometimes I know I bite more than I chew and wonder how I am going to get through it all. However it seems to fall in to place and I come through at the end. The picture above looks like chaos, but I do know where everything is and yes more space is needed as I take over the house with mobiles hanging everywhere and elephants perched where there is space. Very homely I might say.

All else is going well, my daughter is loving school and just done the Naplan tests, and is concerned that the government is going to see it, as she told me about their logo on the papers etc. Very funny. My husband is fine too and keeping busy.

Hope everyone is well and juggling everyday life well.

Happy Easter

Sorry I haven't been writing lately, its finding the time to keep up with everything. But all is well in my household as we try and get organised to go away for easter and school holidays are in full swing.

So this is just a short note to wish everyone a happy easter and hope that the easter bunny is good to you all along with lots of laughter.

Here is some pictures of our easter tree that our daughter has decorated herself, as she is very excited to be going to see her grandparents this weekend and to see all the pets that she adores.

She Couldn't Help Herself...

I had brought a new electric shaver today that was for your eyebrows and facial hairs, and happily showed my daughter  who was very interested and curious in my new purchase.  She said 'Can I have a go' and I replied, 'no I will show you in the morning'.

An hour later my daughter comes out of my bathroom and walking around with one hand over her eye not moving it away. I asked her what was wrong she said nothing at all. Then I clicked and had my worst fear. I said now come on show me what's wrong, I won't be cranky. She said I had to promise not to be. With that she removed her hand and i see she has removed part of her eyebrow.

OK I tried not to laugh , and then said, look at what the heck you've done. She replied that she wanted to try out and couldn't wait. Then she said-  'is it bad'. I was serious and said, 'well its not good' and that I will have to try and fix it tomorrow.

Don't you just love their curiosity.  Let s hope I am able to fix it up. And you have to laugh as it could have been much worse. xxx

Best friends - I think?

I just love going home to my parents for a break with Bella as its out away from the city with peace and quiet and to be honest, I love that my mum can cook and look after us, feel totally recharged when I come home from it and even a little inspired with new cooking tips if not new craft Ideas..

But mostly I love their labs, and our little brainless dog Daisy has a ball and loves their youngest lab Peanut who likes a little toy to play with every now and again. They play rumble tumble and also have their stand offs. But deep down friends. The top picture is Peanut and Daisy the next picture is the mother Poly who is a little more serious these days, but still a beautiful natured dog, the nest is Peanut again, he loves to have his picture taken. xxx

Happy New Year.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. Don't things seem to be going quickly already as were into the first few days of January. Bella announces also there's only 23 or so days before school goes back. Gosh its seems the holiday is going to fly past.

But my creative side is on the go again and looking forward to making and showing some new things for 2012. Its going to be a great year for us, I can feel it in my bones. xxx
