Happy Easter

Sorry I haven't been writing lately, its finding the time to keep up with everything. But all is well in my household as we try and get organised to go away for easter and school holidays are in full swing.

So this is just a short note to wish everyone a happy easter and hope that the easter bunny is good to you all along with lots of laughter.

Here is some pictures of our easter tree that our daughter has decorated herself, as she is very excited to be going to see her grandparents this weekend and to see all the pets that she adores.

She Couldn't Help Herself...

I had brought a new electric shaver today that was for your eyebrows and facial hairs, and happily showed my daughter  who was very interested and curious in my new purchase.  She said 'Can I have a go' and I replied, 'no I will show you in the morning'.

An hour later my daughter comes out of my bathroom and walking around with one hand over her eye not moving it away. I asked her what was wrong she said nothing at all. Then I clicked and had my worst fear. I said now come on show me what's wrong, I won't be cranky. She said I had to promise not to be. With that she removed her hand and i see she has removed part of her eyebrow.

OK I tried not to laugh , and then said, look at what the heck you've done. She replied that she wanted to try out and couldn't wait. Then she said-  'is it bad'. I was serious and said, 'well its not good' and that I will have to try and fix it tomorrow.

Don't you just love their curiosity.  Let s hope I am able to fix it up. And you have to laugh as it could have been much worse. xxx

Best friends - I think?

I just love going home to my parents for a break with Bella as its out away from the city with peace and quiet and to be honest, I love that my mum can cook and look after us, feel totally recharged when I come home from it and even a little inspired with new cooking tips if not new craft Ideas..

But mostly I love their labs, and our little brainless dog Daisy has a ball and loves their youngest lab Peanut who likes a little toy to play with every now and again. They play rumble tumble and also have their stand offs. But deep down friends. The top picture is Peanut and Daisy the next picture is the mother Poly who is a little more serious these days, but still a beautiful natured dog, the nest is Peanut again, he loves to have his picture taken. xxx

Happy New Year.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. Don't things seem to be going quickly already as were into the first few days of January. Bella announces also there's only 23 or so days before school goes back. Gosh its seems the holiday is going to fly past.

But my creative side is on the go again and looking forward to making and showing some new things for 2012. Its going to be a great year for us, I can feel it in my bones. xxx

Merry Christmas

Wow what a year it has been for myself and everyone else. Don't know about all of you but this year seems to have flown and my head reels with what I have done and achieved and my family.

My elephants have been my support and passion lately and thrilled that they have gone to so many other happy homes. My hobby has grown bigger and better than I could have imagined and its all thanks to the great support I have had from Family and friends.

I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a safe one. And lets hope 2012 is a fantastic year for us all. xxx

New Work Area

I am usually spread from one end to the other with my sewing and craft and it made every thing look so messy. My husband and I couldn't stand it.  But our house is small and with no spare room to set it up.

So we did some rearranging and this is so much better. I actually feel more organized and will be able to find everything as it all has a place now. Some pictures on the wall and I will have a cosy functional work area to create and make. xxx

Husband and wife are Kid Free for One Night.

Our daughter is on her first birthday sleep over and as excited as she was, she had her bag packed a week ago.

Us we were nervous, but eventually excited as we would be able to have a kid free night.  The first in many many years. What to do what to do. Yep go out and have a nice meal and a adult conversation with no one to butt in. Well we were both so exhausted from work but wanting to go out, couldn't do it.
How sad is that. But we ended up having a beautiful delivered meal and drinks with some adult conversation (although what we talk about was not important).

Isn't  it funny how you and your husband can forget how to talk to each other when you have a little one around to comment or just listening. Its like starting all over again, discovering and learning new things about each other, mind you we didn't learn anything new about each other like we probably should have. But all in all, we had a lovely meal and just good company with each other. What more can you ask for. Although we will be happy to have our daughter back tomorrow. Hope she is having a great time xxx.
